Our rates are dependent on the type of session you’d like to request.  Our in-studio/on-location standard rate is $135/hour session with prints being an additional investment.  On location & in-studio combo shoots are $175/hour within a 25 mile radius of the Minneapolis MN metro area.  However, I’m happy to travel anywhere as needed and will work out specific travel costs if applicable. Weddings are priced on an individual wedding basis (2 photographers), as every one is different and we only want you to pay for what you not what we think you want. Our fee’s start at $2000 for 6 hrs of coverage and can be customized to meet your individual wants/needs. 

 Every session I  includes an on-line gallery for viewing and ordering images.  The gallery is live for 30 days at no additional charge and is password protected for your privacy, however you’re more than welcome to send the link and password to all of your friends and family and we absolutely encourage it.  If you are interested in purchasing digital files from us, they are available in both low (web) and high (print) resolutions.  We highly recommend getting your prints from us as everything we print is on premium, archive quality paper, guaranteeing the most accurate representation of your images for years and years to come.

My passion is animals and pet photography.  There’s something so amazing about capturing the personality of a pet and seeing the guardians expression after showing them the shot.  Being the guardian of 2 amazing Boxers, 2 cats and being an active volunteer for many local rescues & advocate for animals all over the world, is just the tip of the iceberg for me.  I’m definitely an “Animal person” and will absolutely make your pet feel welcome and look great in front of the camera. Basically, I just like making people (and animals) smile, so whether its musicians, Seniors or a whole family, I truly enjoy my work!

Modern Life photo has exclusive rights to all of the photos I take. This means I may use your photo on my website, fliers, or other media. If you print any digital images you purchase with anyone else besides Modern Life Photo, I then provide you with a release form, so that you may print or use that image for whatever medium you want.

My studio is based out of our home in Minnetonka, Minnesota – just west of the Twin Cities (Minneapolis / St. Paul).  I feel very fortunate to have a large enough space to do “in-studio” work with professional lighting and backgrounds, but additionally live on nearly an acre lot (much of it is fenced in for dogs) with huge trees, beautiful gardens and a lot of room for families/pets to get photos taken.

I absolutely will shoot wherever you (and your family & animals) are most comfortable, I love location shoots, at your home, the park, the woods, on stage, – wherever.

Besides loving animals, I LOVE LOVE LOVE pictures, I mean LOVE them.  I been artistic & taking pictures since I was a kid, then studied photography in college, and finally spent a lot of time in front of the camera (as a model).

In my professional life, I’ve spent endless time around photography; taking photos, being photographed, styling photo shoots, and creating-designing for some incredibly big brands.  I knew what was involved in taking great photos, and I’ve always shot a ton of photos, so finally I made it official and started Modern Life Photography.

Beyond photography, I’m extremely passionate about giving back.  I’m absolutely blessed with the talent to take photos, and welcome the opportunity to use that talent to give back to a world that’s been so kind to me.  Some of the causes I’m passionate about and donate a large portion of my time and resources to are: MN Boxer Rescue, The Humane Society of the United States, ASCPCA, Animal Humane Society, Best Friends, the Farm Sanctuary.  Know that a % of the proceeds from EACH SESSION are going to one of these charities. (If you have a charity you’d prefer, please let me know and I will make the donation from your session to them.)
